The Dogs Who Changed Our Business Plan.

Apr 28, 2025 Sara Lo

At DoggyBag, rescue isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are.

From the very beginning, we've opened our doors - and our hearts - to the strays that needed help and a home. Over the years, we've welcomed about 30 dogs and 4 cats into our family. The ones who never got adopted? They became permanent members of the DoggyBag pack. Today, 10 special rescues call our HQ their forever home - living proof that every dog deserves love, security, and a full belly.

But we didnt stopped there.

When The Pet Adoption Network calls about a starving stray or a litter fighting to survive, we show up with food. Because good nutrition isn’t just health—it’s hope. The kind that helps a broken dog trust again, or a rescuer breathe easier.

Now, we’re handing you the leash. Doggybag has added an important feature to the website: A ‘Feed a Rescue’ button. Every DoggyBag order can now include a meal for a dog in need—whether at our HQ or through partner rescues.

Through our new Doggybag Heroes page, we will chart rescue transformations, highlight adoptions, share ways to contribute to medical bills from different rescue organisations, spotlight global causes like Gaza’s last remaining animal shelter and the simple ways you can help, by contributing, sharing or just realising whats going on in the world of dogs.

This is not a campaign. This is real life. This is who we are. We have been doing this ever since Doggybag began. Because we believe that the best way we can give back, is through our own rescuing efforts.

When we first created DoggyBag, we simply wanted to make good food for good dogs. We never planned to become a mini sanctuary. But life had other ideas—and today, 10 once-forgotten rescues wake us up with wagging tails every morning. Funny how the dogs who were 'too broken' to adopt became the very ones who fixed us…

Paws out!

Sara
